2 .Scale of Pay & Classification: Level 2 of Pay Matrix {Pre- revised scale (Rs. 5200-20200) [PB-1], GP 1900} Group-‘C’ Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial, Non Industrial.
3. Essential Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board / Institution.
4. Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must pass the test specified below:- (i) Height without shoes- 165 cms. Provided that a concession 2.5 cms Heights shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes. (ii) Chest (Un-expanded) - 81.5 cms. (iii) Chest (on-expansion) - 85 cms. (iv) Weight - 50 Kgs. (Minimum) (v) Endurance Test - (aa) Carrying a man (fireman lift of 63.5 Kgs. to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
5. Nature of Duties in Brief: Fireman must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties. Major duties of a Fireman are as follows: Fire Fighting. (b) Rescue of men and animals in distress. Attend training classes. Participate in Emergency drills and stimulations. Study street locations and get acquainted with buildings.Daily physical training which includes fire fighting appliances. (g) Fire Station maintenance Inspect and maintain portable fire fighting appliances. Educate public concerning fire and life safety. (Assist in fire prevention programs Fire appliances and equipment maintenance.

The cut-off date for determining the qualifying service/experience for the post will be the closing date for the receipt of application.Any officer once selected shall not be allowed to withdraw or refuse to join and it shall be the responsibility of the sponsoring authority to release the selected officers within one month of issue of appointment order.

(vi) A passport size photo graph duly attested on reverse(by current employer)should be pinned with the application.
